For one to be saved or be a born again Christian, he must humble himself, honestly recognize and acknowledge the following:

1. Mankind is Sinful: Romans 3: 23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (KJ)
2. There is a penalty for sin: Romans 6: 23, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)
3. Jesus Christ paid the penalty: Romans 5: 8, for God has showed his love to us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (KJV)
4. Salvation is free for all: Ephesians 2: 8-9. We are saved by faith in God who treats us better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to us. It is not something we have earned so there is nothing that we can boast about. (CEV)
5. Jesus Christ wants to live in your heart: Revelation 3: 20, Therefore I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in and sup with him and he with me. (CEV)
6. You must receive Him: St. John 1:12, for as many that have received him to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, and also to them that call upon his name. (NLT)

Please say this prayer, Oh Lord, I come to you recognizing and acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of your mercy and forgiveness. So with sincerity of heart I confess that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I believe that I’m being forgiven of all my sins and now I am saved and free to live a Christian life in Jesus Name.
