When Jacob was tempted to lose faith, God would remind him of the landmark he made. Like Jacob, we need someone to remind us of God’s promises. Our pastor is God’s appointed person to remind us that He is always present. He encourages us to seek God’s presence in every situation of life; to seek Bethel – the landmark of God’s presence.

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. – Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV)
