Introduction
September is our church’s Month of Prayer and Fasting. During these 30 days, we will journey through Isaiah 58 and discover that biblical fasting is more than giving up food. True fasting draws us closer to God, changes our hearts, strengthens our faith, breaks unhealthy patterns, releases compassion, and positions us to become instruments of restoration.
As we fast, let us seek not merely God’s hand, but God’s heart. Let us pray for personal transformation, our families, our church, our community, and the purposes of God.
