Bishop Eric & Minister Amy Joseph
Bishop Eric Wilfred Joseph born on January 11, 1969 and raised on a beautiful Island called Grenada. It is a place noted worldwide for its exotic spices, clear seas and beautiful sunshine. As a young boy, his family was invited to Sunday School in a New Testament Church in his village. After many years of attending he made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ at the age of twelve, and was baptized at the age of sixteen.
At eighteen years old, Bishop Eric Joseph was filled with the Holy Spirit and his Christian life propelled to another level. With a relentless pursuit to operate in the will of God he developed an appetite for studying The Word. In 1998 through prayer, study, exams and interviews Bishop Eric Joseph attained an Exhorter’s Certificate which validated his call to the ministry within the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee.
Bishop Eric Joseph attended the College of New Rochelle where in 2001 he graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2002 Bishop Eric Joseph was officially installed as pastor of Church Avenue Church of God. In 2011 Bishop Eric Joseph graduated from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.
Bishop Eric Joseph has served as the Director of Programs for the Borough of Brooklyn Ecumenical Advisory Board. Bishop Eric Joseph is a certified multi-dimensional family therapist working with adolescents with drugs and behavioral problems together with their families. He has also been serving as the secretary of district #26 Pastoral team for the past nine years.
It is now seventeen years since God has called, counseled and commissioned Bishop Eric Joseph and his awesome wife, Minister Amy Joseph to the pastorate. They are presently serving with gratitude, faithfulness, humility, and integrity. As a team they hold fast to Luke 4: 18 which says for the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, to deliver the captive, to give sight to the blind and to set free those that are oppressed. As a pastors Bishop Eric and Minister Amy Joseph continue to the will of God in ministry, not as an option but as a divine mandate. They have been happily married for over twenty-three years and are delightful parents of two awesome princesses, Jemille and Tiffany.
